FAQs
What is this treatment/what does it do/what does it treat?
Our laser machine targets three elements of sun-damaged and aging skin. We are able to achieve this by coagulating blood vessels, eliminating pigmented spots, and improving the skin's texture.
How long does this treatment take?
About 30 minutes.
Is there downtime?
Right after it is typical for skin to be pink. Any sun spots will darken initially then can have a coffee ground appearance until it eventually sloughs off.
What does it feel like?
It feels like a really light snap with an elastic band against your skin, or like if someone lightly flicked you, as the applicator moves around the treatment area. The good news is that our equipment has a cooling tip of - 8 degrees which helps to soften the flicking feeling or alleviate discomfort.
What should I do post treatment?
Be sure to keep your skin cool for at least 48 hours and avoid anything that create heat (such as hot showers, saunas, going to the gym, the sun, etc).
When will I start to see results?
Results can be seen on some clients in as little as one treatment, however for long lasting results at least 3 treatments are typically recommended.
Are PhotoFacials for More Than the Face?
PhotoFacials can be used to treat the neck, chest and hands. If you have sun spots or small dilated blood vessels (telangiectasias), then it can yield promising results. It's a simple and non-invasive procedure that can help your skin look and feel more youthful.
